Senior Director of Programming

Summary:
The Senior Director of Programming will be responsible for analyzing, categorizing, presenting, and promoting content for daily delivery to the Sezmi’s media receiver to create an unprecedented personalized viewing experience. The Sezmi platform is designed to be the primary television service to the home, encompassing all broadcast and major cable networks, VOD movies and events, and integrated web video content. The Senior Director of Programming will oversee content presentation to viewers, and help optimize content delivery throughout our system. This can be a creative and challenging opportunity for an individual looking to play a key role in developing the next generation television experience.

Responsibilities:

Analysis, categorization and presentation of content, including integration with Sezmi’s proprietary programming personalization system
Interpret and apply audience and ratings analysis to optimize the suggested programming.
Act as the content group point person for program and viewer related market research
Strategic placements of content within the user interface including prioritizing which items should be highlighted on key landing pages
Must be able to track all content availability dates for programming and marketing across multiple platforms.
Develop promotions (e.g., “buy 2 get 1 free”) and suggest product/bundle ideas
Develop business rules to support ongoing merchandising leveraging search/ browse filters and merchandising capabilities to drive consumption of content.
Plan and manage monthly programming and promotional campaigns to achieve revenue target results.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Business or related field
8+ years of experience in content from all platforms (TV, internet, movies, music, etc.), and a deep love and passion for media content of all forms
Experience and comfort working with technical teams and engineering systems
Instinctual understanding of the growing convergence of multi-platform media
Experience with interpreting and applying audience and ratings analysis
Keen sense of programming showmanship that can translate into the world of Sezmi
Able to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills
