Mark Benscheidt is vice president of broadcast business development at Sezmi. In addition, Benscheidt also serves as executive director for California Public Television, an association he helped found for the purpose of driving program development, operating efficiencies and government advocacy.
Benscheidt was senior vice president of Broadcaster Development for USDTV. In this capacity Benscheidt developed and contracted with television stations throughout the country to provide digital spectrum for distribution of the USDTV television service.
Prior to USDTV, Benscheidt spent over twenty years in commercial broadcasting, including roles in strategic planning, sales and the last five as president and general manager of the NBC affiliate in Fresno, California.
For the past five years Benscheidt has worked with broadcasters to create new benefits for their businesses. His work has spanned network, independent, religious and low power television stations, giving him extensive knowledge of their challenges and opportunities. He remains very active with the senior leadership of many broadcast associations.
Benscheidt received a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Management from Gonzaga University.
